FastApply describes a Chrome extension that fills and submits applications on common hiring systems, with a short free trial, monthly plans sized by a daily cap, and tailoring offered as an add-on. This page is for someone weighing that offer who wonders whether a different kind of product would fit better. It does not rank tools, and it does not convert a daily cap into a monthly saving.

Who might look past a submitting extension

You want every application tailored, not only some. FastApply sells tailoring as an add-on. If a resume written for each posting is the point of the whole exercise for you, check what each plan includes before you compare prices.

You would rather not keep a browser running. An extension does its work in your browser. Some people want to name the roles once and come back to a record of what went out. That is a choice about your time, and both choices are reasonable.

You care more about fit than about volume. Plans sized by a daily cap reward sending a lot. If you would rather fewer applications that each read as written for the job, that is a reason to look at the shape of the product, not just its ceiling.

Where the two approaches part ways

Tailoring as an extra, or tailoring as the work

On FastApply the tailored resume and cover letter are an add-on to an individual plan. On ApplyASAP the tailored resume is the job itself: every application goes out with a resume prepared for that posting, from your real history. Neither framing is dishonest. They answer different questions about what you are paying for.

A browser at work, or a team at work

A submitting extension fills the forms in your browser, on systems it supports. ApplyASAP describes the team finding openings for the titles and places you name and sending each application, then showing you which company it went to and the resume that was sent. One keeps the work in your hands. The other hands it off and reports back.

Daily ceilings and monthly allowances

FastApply plans are described by how many applications they allow in a day. ApplyASAP plans are described by applications in a month. Lining those up as if the calendars matched would be misleading, so this page leaves each number in the unit its company chose and lets you do the arithmetic for your own search.

When ApplyASAP is the better fit

Read ApplyASAP if you want tailoring included in every application, openings found for you, the application sent by the team, and a record of each one. Stay with FastApply if you like running an extension yourself, value its trial, and want tailoring only some of the time. The prices under this paragraph are ApplyASAP's. FastApply's prices stay on the comparison page in the units they published.

ApplyASAP is a product of Glearn Technologies, San Francisco. Every plan includes a resume tailored to each job, the application questions answered for you, and cover letters when a job asks for one.

The public answer to “Will you exaggerate my resume?” is: We put your best foot forward. Most people undersell themselves, so we write up the skills and scope your role and level usually carry, in the words of each posting, and show you every skill we add so you can take any off. We never change your employers, dates, degrees or titles, and never invent numbers, certifications or people you managed.

What this page leaves to FastApply

Nothing here says FastApply fails at what it describes. There is no borrowed score and no count of people who switched. The open questions are the ones on the comparison page: the price of the tailoring add-on, a written rule about what tailoring may add, and whether an unsupported job is skipped. Their site is where to check. The date at the top is the day we read it.

Questions

Is FastApply's free trial a reason to try it first?
It is a fair way to see whether a submitting extension suits you. It does not tell you how the two products compare, because one is an extension you run and the other is a service that sends for you.
Does ApplyASAP charge extra for a tailored resume?
No. A resume tailored to each posting is part of every ApplyASAP plan, along with the application questions answered and a cover letter when a job asks for one.
