Account manager resume tips
An account manager resume should say what you looked after once a customer was already won, and whether the renewal or the expansion sat with you. A hunter's quota is a different job. Name the offer, the kind of account, and the commercial step you owned.

What to put first
State the offer and the buyer: software for a department, a service contract, supplies on a schedule, or a route of existing stores. Then say if you held a named book, prepared the renewal, or only supported a seller who owned the number.
The book
Describe the accounts in words: a set of clinics, a region of retailers, or a handful of large logos. Do not imply a national book if you had a local one. If you did not choose the price, say who did.
Renewal and expansion
A renewal you negotiated is different from an introduction you made for a seller. Write the step that was yours: the review meeting, the usage story, the proposal, or the save.
Figures you can defend
If you quote a result, know the period and that it was your book. If you do not, describe the motion. A seller's ranking does not become yours because you joined the call.
An example line
Adapt this only where it is true for you. It is a shape for a bullet, not a claim that a particular person did this work.
Held a book of independent clinics already using a scheduling tool: ran the quarterly review and wrote the renewal proposal a director priced.
What to leave off
Leave off a new-logo quota you did not carry, accounts you only met once, and revenue ranks you cannot explain. Leave off "relationship builder" with no buyer and no motion.
Questions
- Is account manager the same as sales?
- Sometimes the posting is farming, sometimes it is a full quota. Use your real motion. Do not retitle a new-business role, or hide one, to match the ad.
- Should I list every logo?
- The type of account and the step you owned matter more. Name a company only when you may and when it changes the story.
