Teal alternatives

Teal is a resume builder and a job tracker. A free tier is published, and the pages we checked do not say Teal submits an application for you. A search for alternatives to Teal usually mixes two wishes that are not the same wish: a different place to write resumes, and someone else to send the applications. ApplyASAP can only speak to the second. It is not a free studio for drafting.
What Teal says it is
Teal title and meta description. “Resume and job search tools. Create unlimited personalized resumes for every job you apply for.” Source
Sort the wish before you switch
You want a free place to write resumes and to track jobs you will submit yourself. Teal publishes a free tier and says you can start without a card. ApplyASAP's plans are paid, and the work being sold is the sending. If you want the studio, you are already in the right category, and this page should not talk you out of a free builder.
You thought a tracker would apply for you. That is a mismatch of categories, not a failure we are pinning on Teal. The pages we read do not describe submitting on your behalf, so we do not treat the tracker as a sender. If a team that finds openings and sends applications is the thing you discovered you wanted, you are now shopping in a different aisle. ApplyASAP sits in that aisle.
You want both a builder you control and a sender. These pages do not offer a bundle, and they do not claim the two products plug into each other. You can use a builder and a sender. You should not expect one subscription to become the other.
Why a builder is not a disappointing sender
The sentence "you apply" is doing the work
Teal's public line is about personalized resumes for every job you apply for. The person in that sentence is you. ApplyASAP's public line is that the team applies. An alternatives page that pretends those are one feature with two brand names would be false, so this one will not.
Free and paid are not a bargain against each other
A free Teal tier exists on the page we checked. ApplyASAP has no free plan. Teal also publishes shorter and longer paid periods. Those stay on the comparison, in the units Teal used. This page will not tell you a paid sender is "worth it" against a free builder. They do different work and they bill differently.
The overlap is only the shaped resume
Both products talk about a resume shaped for a job. That is as far as the public lines overlap. ApplyASAP's version of shaping has a written line: it adds the skills a role carries and shows each one to the customer, and it never changes employers, dates, degrees or titles. Teal's pages, as checked, never reach a submit step, so there is no submit-side rule to set beside that one.
ApplyASAP is not the resume studio
Open ApplyASAP only if you have decided you want the applications sent: the team finds openings, tailors without adding experience, answers questions, and sends. You see each one. If you came here to replace a resume builder, close the tab. A sender that also touches the resume is not a builder you operate yourself, and it is not free.
ApplyASAP is a product of Glearn Technologies, San Francisco. Every plan includes a resume tailored to each job, the application questions answered for you, and cover letters when a job asks for one.
The public answer to “Will you exaggerate my resume?” is: We put your best foot forward. Most people undersell themselves, so we write up the skills and scope your role and level usually carry, in the words of each posting, and show you every skill we add so you can take any off. We never change your employers, dates, degrees or titles, and never invent numbers, certifications or people you managed.

Other builders are out of scope
We did not read a slate of resume builders in order to rank them against Teal. Naming products we did not check would be decoration. The only split this page stands behind is the one Teal's own pages support: a builder and tracker on one side, a team that sends applications on the other.
Questions
- Is ApplyASAP an alternative for writing resumes I will edit and submit myself?
- No. Teal is a resume builder and tracker. ApplyASAP sends applications. If you want software that helps you draft, and you will do the submitting, this is the wrong product.
- I wanted Teal to apply for me. Does that mean Teal failed?
- The pages we checked do not say Teal submits for you. Expecting that was a category mistake. If submission is the job, look at products that say they send applications. ApplyASAP says the team does. The comparison has the side-by-side, including Teal's free tier.
