Flight attendant resume tips
A flight attendant resume is read for safety qualification first and service second. Name the kind of operation, the cabin role, and the drills you were current on. A narrow-body line and a corporate cabin are different jobs. Do not name an aircraft you were not trained on, and do not invent a seniority or a base you did not hold.
Cover letter for a flight attendant
What to put first
State the operation: a scheduled airline, a charter, or corporate flying. Then your role: line flight attendant, lead, or purser, only if that was the bid or the assignment. Put safety duties ahead of the service routine.
Safety you were qualified for
Name the duties you were trained and current to perform: the briefing, door and exit checks you were assigned, medical-kit support within your training, or evacuation drills you completed. Do not claim a medical license or a pilot duty.
The cabin you worked
Describe the service only after the safety line: a cart, a premium cabin, or a short-haul turn. Say reserve or a line holder only if that was your status. Skip aircraft model numbers and fleet trivia you do not need.
The operation's rules
Recurrent training, drug and alcohol rules, and appearance standards are part of the job. You may say you stayed current. Do not describe a coworker's discipline or a passenger incident in any identifiable way.
An example line
Adapt this only where it is true for you. It is a shape for a bullet, not a claim that a particular person did this work.
Line flight attendant on a scheduled narrow-body operation: completed recurrent training, ran the safety demo and door checks I was assigned, and worked the cabin service on short-haul turns.
What to leave off
Leave off aircraft you were not trained on, a language you cannot use with a passenger, and stories about unruly people. Leave off a base, a seniority claim, or a lead title you did not hold.
Questions
- Should I list every city I flew to?
- No. The operation, the role, and the safety qualification matter more than a route list.
- What if I am applying from another cabin job?
- Say corporate, charter, or airline plainly. The service may transfer. The qualification does not, until you have it.
