How to target jobs in Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania
Pittsburgh is fairly described through its hospitals and universities, and that is a useful way to start. Banks and robotics groups hire here too. A resume about a unit will not answer a lab, a software group, or a bank, even when the offices are a short ride apart.

Banks and industry
PNC is headquartered here, and other finance and manufacturing employers still hire. Show the function: credit, reporting, a process, a plant. An analyst title and a research-assistant title answer different questions. Use the one you can defend.

What to have ready
For research roles, name methods you can still perform. For bank roles, lead with the work product. For clinical roles, show the Pennsylvania credential. Interest in robotics is not a project.
